At 2:00 p.m. Feb 14th, Shanghai Municipal Government held a press conference on Corona Virus Disease - 2019 (COVID-19) epidemic prevention and control, Zheng Jin, Spokesperson of Shanghai Health Commission, Chen Zhen, Deputy Director General of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, Lv Yaodong, Deputy Director for Command of Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, Li Yong, Deputy Director General of Shanghai Civil Affairs Bureau and Yin Xin, Director of Press Release Division of the Information Office of Shanghai Municipality introduced the current situation of the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Shanghai.
Zheng Jin, Spokesperson of Shanghai Health Commission, stated that medical treatment and emergency transfer for COVID-19 patients have been further improved. The designated hospitals, Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center and the Children’s Hospital of Fudan University have gone all out to treat the patients. The medical safety management during the COVID-19 prevention and control has been further strengthened. Medical institutions at all levels have improved the working mechanism of medical safety management while improving safety management and psychological counseling of patients and strictly following the reporting system of medical safety incidents. Collaboration between Traditional Chinese Medicine and western medicine has been further enhanced to improve the overall level of clinical treatment. TCM treatment has been applied to 90% of the confirmed COVID-19 patients admitted to the designated hospitals. Support to Shanghai Medical Aid Team in Wuhan has been constantly provided.
