Through the re-optimization of the power of two Sichuan Medical Aid  Teams in Hubei, the Special Medical Care Team of Integrated TCM and Western Medicine has taken over wards on the 10^th and 11^th floors in Wuhan Red Cross Hospital since Jan 31^st. This team is led by the Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM and consists of medical aid staff from TCM hospitals in Sichuan such as Leshan Municipal TCM Hospital, Hospital of TCM of Emeishan City and Shehong Municipal Hospital of TCM.

The initiator of this special medical care team is Zhang Chuantao, Deputy Director of Pneumology Department of Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM and head of the temporary party committee of Sichuan Medical Aid Team. He introduced that this medical care team will give full play of the advantages of TCM in Sichuan, persist treatment of integrated TCM and western medicine, and implement TCM therapy in the front line of anti-epidemic in Wuhan; the team will continually conclude and explore to acquire better therapies for anti-epidemic work.

“TCM featured nursing is a special welfare for patients.” Zhong Yongjian, a nurse from intensive care department of Affiliated Hospital of Chengdu University of TCM, introduced that during routine inpatient care, their medical care team assists patients to do simple exercise like Wuqinxi. “Early rehabilitation exercise is extremely important for long-term-bedrest patients to recover.”
