On March 31, 32 members of a national TCM team (the team of China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences) returned from the anti-epidemic frontline of Wuhan, Hubei. This team is the first national TCM team sent to Wuhan, Hubei, and the 32 members come from Guang’anmen Hospital and Xiyuan Hospital of CACMS. Arriving in Wuhan, the team took over 42 beds in Jinyintan Hospital and hospitalized 158 severe and critical cases, with 140 discharged.

For the excellent performance in the epidemic treatment, the team was awarded “the excellent COVID-19 prevention and control collective in the national health system” by the National Health Commission, Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The government of Beijing arranged the escort of the police cars on their way to the stationed place. The members are going to rest in quarantine for 14 days with the unified arrangement of All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the National Health Commission and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The leaders of All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the National Health Commission, the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Xiyuan Hospital and Guang’anmen Hospital greeted the members at the railway station and the hotel.
