Movement two

Draw the unseen bow at both sides

1: Following the above, the center of body moves rightward, and the left foot moves to the left with knees naturally straightened. At the same time, two palms cross upwards in front of the chest, with the left palm outside and the two palms inward and eyes staring ahead.

2: keep doing without any pause. Bend legs slowly into a horse stance. At the same time, the right palm bends into a “claw” and is pulled rightwards to the front of shoulder, while the left palm splays in a “eight-shape” (eight in Chinese character), the left arm rotates internally, and is pushed to the left side at shoulder height with the palm facing leftwards as if drawing the bow. Keep for a second with eyes looking at the direction of left palm.

3: Shift the weight to the right, and at the same time, stretch the right hand out and draw an arc upward and rightward at shoulder height with the fingertips up and the palms slanting forward. The left hand stretches out with the palm slanting forward. Keep the gaze on the right palm.

4: Keep moving without any pause. Keep the body weight shifted to the right. Bring the left foot back to the original stance and put feet together, and at the same time, the two palms move downward on both sides. Hold the hands in front of the abdomen with the fingertips opposite and the palm up. Keep looking forward.

5 to 8: The movements are the same as 1 to 4 but in the opposite direction. One left and one right movement together count as one movement, repeating three times in total. On the third round, the weight is on the left. The right foot is placed back to the center but the feet are shoulder-width apart, and the knees are slightly flexed. Meanwhile, the two palms drop downward along both sides, and then come to the front of the abdomen with the fingertips opposite and the palms up. Keep looking ahead.

[Principles and Effects] This movement can adjust meridian qi, particularly the Lung Meridian of Hand-taiyin, and develop the muscle strength of the lower limbs, improve coordination, help correct hunchback or incorrect placement in the spine.
