In the document Chinese Medicine Health Preservation Guidance for Chinese Citizens released by the state, the Line 42 included many simple health care methods which can be done when one has time after work and study.
Combing method
Fingers of both hands are placed into the hair to rub-press the head from front to back, just like combing the hair. This can be repeated 50~100 times for unblocking qi and blood circulation and refreshing oneself.
Eye Exercises
Rotate the eyeballs from left to right and then from right to left for 10 times in each direction. After that, close the eyes to rest for a while. The exercise is usually performed 4~5 times a day to clear the liver and improve vision.
Ear Pulling Method
Cover the ears with both hands, then lower and raise the head 5 to 7 times. This is useful for clearing the mind and dispelling distractions to one can focus.
Rubbing the Abdomen
After every meal, use the palms to rub the abdomen clockwise for about 30 times, centered on the navel. This can promote digestion and eliminate abdominal distension.
